This week we chat to Gary Buckenara.
Gary is a 4 x Premiership player with the Hawthorn Hawks.
We do chat a bit about Gary’s footy and coaching career but the main focus of our chat is about Buckys mental health struggles and his fight back.
After Gary’s coaching career ended, he found himself at his lowest point.
Gary had written his goodbye note to his family and was sitting at a beach in Fremantle ready to go for a long swim.
Thankfully something stopped him that day and he went home and gave his wife the letter he had written and admitted he was in need of help.
Bucky is now on a path of helping other people struggling.
